In 2009, I was encouraged by my friends to give the 365 photo project a try. I love taking photos, and was excited about participating. The daily posts paint a brief picture of my year and open my eyes to the beauty around me. It is challenging to post a photo daily. I was successful in 2009 and 2010, but fell a few short in 2011. I'll be continuing my quest for daily photos in 2012 and look forward to sharing them here.

Day 35 - Newsletter
As a new retiree, I said 'yes' to taking over the newsletter that goes out to the retirees from our school district. I created the newsletter using the 'Pages' application on my Mac. Today I ran it off, stuffed the envelopes with the 8 page (4 page back-to-back) newsletter, and sent it out to 230+ retirees who wish to stay active in our group. We still send it via snail mail, since some retirees don't have email. I wonder how long it will take before everyone has email.

I hope those envelopes were self-adhesive!
ReplyDeleteSnail mail newsletters is a BIG job. We still do it for our organizations as well, for the same reason. I have a feeling that it will be a long time before we can get away from paper and ink newsletters. I think, even if people have email, some will still prefer to have that tangible paper newsletter in their hands... I applaud you for taking on the job... it is an important one.
